Who
or what is the biggest inspiration
for your art?
I meet them all the time. For example, people who make carving a spoon from a block of wood a masterpiece, or my brother and the way he makes arrowheads. Anyone who takes what theyíre doing to perfection is inspiring to me and that in itself pushes me further in my art.
Who
are your favorite bands
to listen to while you work?
I love Against Me, Flagging Molly, the Mountain Goats and Tom Waits. Mostly I love hearing "Ego" whistle to every tune that comes up on the radio. Itís a great atmosphere to tattoo in.
What
do you do when you are not
drawing pictures on people?
I carve, paint, go on lots
of long walks and practice
a lot of primitive skills.
Whenever I can I travel,
usually to Central America,
but my bag is waiting to
be coated in patches from
Africa, Asia and more of
Europe.
Tell
us a funny tattoo story...
Its funny how many times a day people call asking if we do piercings. Kris has taken to answering the phone "Emerald City Tattoo"; We don't do piercings!
