Anthony
Johns is Emerald City's "master
tattooist". Tony opened the
shop at its current location
in November of 1991. His tattooing
skills have been in demand
ever since. Although Tony
can tattoo in virtually any
style, his favorites are traditional,
neo-traditional, and fine
line. His artistic talents
lend well to producing a realism
in his tattooing, especially
when dealing with flora and
fauna.

are your favorite bands
to listen to while you work?
I'll listen to anything
I can understand the words
to, nothing head-banging
and no opera. I tend to
go with whatever my clients
choose.

do you do when you are not
drawing pictures on people?
When I am not spending time
with my wife and children,
I like working in my garden
and tending to my Japanese
Koi.

us a funny tattoo story...
One night we had a heavy
metal band in the shop when
a young man came in to get
a punk energizer bunny tattooed
on his ass...
Because
of his large clientel, Tony
accepts new clients on a limited
